DID numbers

DID Numbers in 50+ Countries, Delivered to Your SIP Trunk

Give customers a local number to call and receive those calls on the PBX you already run. Geographic, national, mobile and toll-free ranges, delivered over SIP in E.164 format. We tell you up front what each country needs for KYC.

Number types

Four kinds of number

Availability depends on the country. Each country page lists what is offered.

  • Geographic

Tied to a city or area code. The usual choice for a local presence.
  • National

Non-geographic numbers that read as national rather than tied to one city.
  • Mobile

Mobile-range numbers where regulators allow them on VoIP. Some support SMS separately.
  • Toll-free

Free for the caller, inbound cost to you. See toll-free numbers.

Delivery

What arrives at your PBX

Inbound calls arrive as a standard INVITE to the address you set, with the dialled number in the Request-URI in E.164 format. Match on that number in your inbound route or DID table.

Whitelist our signalling addresses on your firewall and keep SIP ALG off. Setup steps for each PBX are in the guides.

KYC

Paperwork, stated before you order

Many regulators require proof of who holds a number. We tell you what is needed so activation is not stuck.

  • Name of the person or company
  • Address in the country or number area
  • ID document
  • Business registration, for some ranges

Germany and several EU countries

Geographic numbers usually need a local address or proof of presence in the area code. Rules change, and our team confirms current requirements before activation.

FAQ

DID number questions

Why do some countries ask for documents?

Regulators in many countries require operators to know who holds each number. Typical requests are a name, an address in the country or region, ID and sometimes business registration. Each country page shows whether KYC is usually required.

How are inbound calls delivered?

To a SIP URI or IP address you set, in E.164 format. You can point each number at a different PBX or route several numbers to one trunk.

Can I use a DID as my outbound caller ID?

Yes, where the country allows it and the route supports CLI. Using a local number you hold is the cleanest way to present a valid caller ID.

Can I port my existing numbers?

Porting depends on the country and current provider. Send sales the numbers and we confirm what is possible before you order.

How many simultaneous calls can a DID take?

Inbound capacity is set at the account level, not per number. Tell sales your expected peak so channels are sized for it.

Ask for DID availability

Tell sales the country, number type and quantity. We reply with KYC requirements.
