SIP Trunk Portugal — +351 Termination & DID Numbers
Lisbon and Porto have become nearshore hubs for multilingual customer service, with agents covering English, French, German and Spanish. Portuguese numbers are nine digits: landlines start with 2 and mobiles with 9.
Overview
Routing calls to Portugal
Whether you are calling a desk phone in Lisbon or a mobile in Braga, Coimbra and Faro, the call is routed by the longest matching +351 prefix and sent to the best-performing carrier for that range. When a carrier fails, the next one takes over, and the CDR shows exactly which leg carried the call.
There is no trunk prefix to strip: send 351 followed by the national number as written. On the rate sheet, Portugal is split into geographic, national, mobile and toll-free prefixes, following the plan set by ANACOM, so your LCR can tell a cheap fixed-line call from a pricier mobile one.
Outbound termination to Portugal starts as soon as your balance is topped up. Local DIDs are different: ANACOM rules usually require address and identity documents, which our team collects and checks before activation.
