SIP Trunk Chile — +56 Termination & DID Numbers
Chile unified its numbering in 2016: every number is nine digits, there is no trunk prefix, and mobiles start with 9. That clean plan makes Chilean dial plans easy to validate before a call ever leaves your PBX.
Overview
Routing calls to Chile
Most Chile traffic we see ends in Santiago, Valparaíso and Concepción, Antofagasta and Viña del Mar. Each +56 prefix is mapped to at least two carriers, and we watch ASR, ACD and PDD per prefix so a degrading route is replaced before your agents notice.
There is no trunk prefix to strip: send 56 followed by the national number as written. On the rate sheet, Chile is split into geographic, mobile and toll-free prefixes, following the plan set by the national telecom regulator, so your LCR can tell a cheap fixed-line call from a pricier mobile one.
Some Chile number ranges can be activated with basic company details, while others need proof of address. Tell us the city and number type, and we will confirm what is needed before you order.
