SIP Trunk Sri Lanka — +94 Termination & DID Numbers
Sri Lanka's traffic is a mix of diaspora calling from the Gulf and Europe and a growing outsourcing sector around Colombo. Mobiles have nine digits after the 0 and start with 7, and Colombo landlines use area code 011.
Overview
Routing calls to Sri Lanka
Traffic to Sri Lanka leaves our SBCs on more than one upstream carrier per prefix. If a leg toward Colombo or Kandy starts returning 503s or long post-dial delay, the next attempt goes to another carrier automatically. Calls to Galle, Jaffna and Negombo follow the same failover logic.
Numbering in Sri Lanka is managed by TRCSL. We terminate to geographic and mobile ranges and price each one separately on the rate sheet. Inside the country, numbers are dialled with a 0 trunk prefix. Strip it before you send the call, and send 94 followed by the national number.
Some Sri Lanka number ranges can be activated with basic company details, while others need proof of address. Tell us the city and number type, and we will confirm what is needed before you order.
